Virat Kohli is not playing the second Test match against Australia due to paternity leave. If he had played this match, his total match fee of the year would have been Rs 1.44 crore.


After Jasprit Bumrah and Virat Kohli, the Indian cricketer who received the highest match fees was Ravindra Jadeja. He played 2 Tests, 9 ODIs and 4 T20 matches in a year. In this way, he got a total match fee of 96 lakh rupees this year.

Rohit Sharma failed to join even the top-5 cricketers in terms of earning from match fees in 2020. A major reason for this was his poor fitness. Rohit played 3 ODIs and 4 T20 matches this year and got a total match fee of Rs 30 lakhs this year.


This year Ajinkya Rahane and Rishabh Pant received more match fees than Rohit Sharma. Rahane played 4 Test matches in 2020 and this earned him a match fee of 60 lakhs. Pant played 3 Tests, One ODI and 2 T20 matches this year and received a total match fee of Rs 57 lakhs this year.
