New Delhi: India is all set to play Pakistan in the Emerging Cup which is scheduled to take place in Bangladesh. The tournament is authorized by Asian Cricket Council (ACC) and will be held between March 15-23.

The Emerging Cup has an interesting format, this tournament essentially is for U-23 players but four teams – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are allowed to field four players of the national side without any age limit. Four other teams – Afghanistan, UAE, Nepal and Hong Kong will play with their national sides

“Yes, India would be sending a team to the tournament. It’s an ACC tournament and so we would go there. This is not a bilateral India-Pakistan series, and so this is different,” MV Sridhar told The Indian Express.

Although, it will be difficult for India to send four national players with India all geared up for busy schedule.
