As far as India's performance in the previous T20 World Cup is concerned, the Women in Blue had managed to reach the semifinal where they succumbed to a 5-run defeat to the ultimate champions Australia. India have reached the summit clash of the marquee event twice before but have never gone on to lift the trophy. With the Men's T20 team having won a T20 World Cup earlier this year, the women's team will want to make it a rare double for India.
