With the result, India now surge to 1st in Group A with two wins, and have potentially handed Pakistan a knockout punch, with the co-hosts losing both of their opening fixture.

India's Run-Chase In A Nutshell

India started their chase on an aggressive front, as Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill smashed the likes of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah for boundaries. The quickfire opening stand came to an end with the dismissal of Indian skipper, as Shaheen Shah Afridi's brilliant yorker bamboozled Rohit Sharma in the 5th over.

Shubman Gill, the current vice-captain of the side, has been in sublime form as of late, and was eyeing his 5th consecutive 50+ score in ODI's, but fell short off the mark by 4 runs, as a stunning delivery from Abrar Ahmed bowled the 'Prince'.

Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer registered a stand of 114 runs for the 3rd wicket, as the partnership completely blew away Pakistan from any sort of contention of winning this contest.

Shreyas Iyer departed for a well-made 56, but Virat Kohli stayed unbeaten at the crease to guide his side to a 6-wicket win, and in the process, complete his 51st ODI ton.
