It has been a great tournament for the two best teams in this competition. While the Yash Dhull-led India A have had an unbeaten run so far and would now look to win the summit clash and clinch the title, Mohammad Haris-led Pakistan A faced a solitary defeat in their campaign which, however, came against India in a Group B fixture.
This time around Pakistan A would want to avenge that defeat and have the last laugh. However, it won't be easy against a strong side like India A who have dominated every match that they have played. Having said that, there have been moments like in India A's semifinal against Bangladesh A where things could have gone wrong but each time they have faced such a situation, they have found a way to come back.
In the India A vs Bangaldesh A semifinal, the batters weren't as clinical as the team would have liked them to as the team failed to play out their 50 overs and managed 211 in 49.1 overs with skipper Dhull top-scoring with a gritty 66. But the Indian bowlers stepped up the occasion and bowled the oppostion out for 160 with Nishant Sindhu picking up a fifer (5/20).
Pakistan A, meanwhile, completely dominated their semifinal against Sri Lanka A. They first scored 322 in 50 overs Omair Yousuf top-scoring for them with 88 and skipper Haris also chipping in a fifty, they bowled out Sri Lanka A for 262 in 45.4 overs. Arshad Iqbal (5/37) was their pick of the bowlers.
