Visakhapatnam: The second unofficial ODI between India A and New Zealand A ended in a thrilling tie even though Shreyas Iyer (90) and Ankit Bawne (83) made sublime half centuries in a rain-curtailed match.



India, needing 11 off the final over, ended at 269 for nine in 42 overs. Matt Henry bowled Shahbaz Nadeem off the last ball of the match when the scores were level.



Chasing a target of 270 in 42 overs, Indian innings was derailed early as the hosts were reduced to 84 for 5. But then captain Shreays Iyer and Ankit Bawne put together a 126-run stand for the sixth wicket before Iyer was dismissed for a well-played 90.



Bawne remained unbeaten at 83 but failed to take India A over the line.



Leg Spinner Todd Astle was the most impressive Kiwi on display with figures of 4 for 22 in 9 overs. 



Earlier, New Zealand had made 269 for six riding on a sparkling 140 off 130 balls from Glen Philipps.



For India, Sidhharth Kaul picked up 3 for 49.
