IND vs WI, 2nd ODI Highlights: Bowlers Shine In Windies Series-Levelling Win Over India
IND Vs WI 2nd ODI Highlights: West Indies beat India in 2nd ODI to level three-match series 1-1.
West Indies beat India by 6 wickets in 2nd ODI at Bridgetown in Barbados on Thursday to level three-match ODI series 1-1. Since World Cup is just four months away, India, one of the favourites to win the title this year, losing to a team that hasn't even qualified for the tournament, comes as a huge setback.
Both the West Indies'openers have been playing attacking cricket, smashing the Indian pacers all around the park. They are looking to finish the game in haste now.
Brandon King and Mayers have started batting for West Indies while Hardik Pandya opened the attack.
Poor batting show was displayed by the Indian batters as no other batters took the onus apart from Ishan Kishan who scored 55 runs. Windies' bowlers bowled with discipline, restricting India to just 181 runs.
Shepherd picked up the wicket of Jadeja and an easy catch by Cariah did the rest. This was Shepherd's third wicket. It was slower off-cutter delivery and Jadeja wanted to keep it down but then a top edge came from his willow and Cariah took a simple catch.
The rain got over and play has been resumed with Suryakumar and Jadeja batting in the middle.
The Indian team lost two quick wickets in the form of Hardik Pandya and Sanju Samson. West Indies' bowlers have made a fantastic comeback, picking back-to-back wickets in the middle. As ABP Live reported, it's raining, and the play has been stopped.
Shepherd cleaned up Axar as it was a short pitch delivery and Patel hit it directly in the hands of Shai Hope. West Indies and Shepherd have been using the pitch to their advantage.
Shepherd took the wicket of Ishan Kishan and a brilliant catch by Athanaze did the rest. What a catch! Ishan Kishan was shocked to see that catch by Windies' fielder. It was a length delivery outside off and Ishan played a cut shot but then Athanaze took a blinder.
Left-hand batter Ishan Kishan scored a brilliant half-century and just when the Indians started celebrating, Shubman Gill departed.
The Indian openers have made a 50-run stand for the first wicket. Both Ishan and Gill have been punishing the Windies' bowlers all around the park. Looks like India is eyeing a big total here.
Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill started the proceedings for India while Mayers handed over the ball to bowl the first over.

Hello and welcome to ABP's live coverage of the 2nd ODI between India and West Indies. India won the first ODI and will be looking to clinch the series today.
Background
The Indian team defeated West Indies in the first ODI at Bridgetown in Barbados on Thursday and will be hoping for the same performance in the second game on Saturday at the same ground. Since World Cup is just four months away, the Indian team management will be looking to try out a few new combinations in the ongoing series.
The Indian team specially the bowlers used all their trades and tormented the Windies’s batters throughout the innings with spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav were the main troublemakers. On the other hand, West Indies will be thinking to put on a good batting show than they did in the first ODI. Their batters were clueless against Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja. Except for Shai Hope, no other batters showed any fightback.
The other important factor of the second ODI is rain. Barbados already witnessed rain and the chances are it will again play spoilsport in between the game. Humidity is likely to be around 80 to 85 percent with the temperature expected to be around 30 degrees Celcius.
