Fans got to witness a 'classic Kohli moment' when he celebrated after hitting the first boundary on the 81st ball of his innings.

Virat Kohli came out to bat when team India were 2 down. Kohli's bat remained silent for quite a while as the former captain got no easy pickings in the beginning of his innings. The first boundary of Kohli's bat came in the 109th over when he hammered his trademark cover drive off Jomel Warrican's delivery. Virat couldn't help but punch his hand in the air to celebrate his four as he looked towards the dressing room in joy.


Yashasvi, who was batting with Kohli, also smiled humbly as the latter's quest for a boundary ended. Kohli’s celebration also left the commentators in splits as Ian Bishop while commentating said: “Gets it through the gap for one of the typical … Virat Kohli shouts and he punches in the air as he gets a boundary”






Team India had another superb outing on Day 2 - this time with the bat - as they grabbed a massive 162-run lead with eight wickets still in hand against the West Indies in the first Test. Yashasvi Jaiswal, the debutant who started for India in the match, remained unbeaten on 143, while Virat Kohli also looked good, reaching 36 not out in 96 balls. The Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma, scored a century (103 runs) as well.
