Background
IND Vs SA 2nd Test Live Updates: Hello and welcome to live coverage of India vs South Africa 2nd Test. India are trailing 1-0 in the series after their humiliating defeat at the hands of South Africa in the first Test at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. The Rohit Sharma-led side lost by an innings and 32 runs as their batting order crumbled and bowling didn't do much to compensate for the collapse.
South African veteran batsman Dean Elger is in his swansong series as he'll retire from international cricket after the series and proved his mantle with a stellar knock in the first Test match and was awarded the man of the match award. Kagiso Rabada made a strong comeback from his injury as his outswingers made the world-class and renowned Indian batting order look clueless and the lethal bouncers from him, debutant Nandre Burger, Gerald Coetzee troubled India handosmely. Marco Jansen didn't cause much trouble in bowling but certainly hurt Indian bowling as he remained unbeaten throughtout the first innings for Proteas and his hitting made Indian bowlers try unorthdox stuff which led to them losing their concentration, and eventually, line and length.
With a series defeat impossible now for South Africa, they might experiment with their lineup or maybe they'll put in the same lineup keeping in mind the factor of World Test Championship as they are currently leading the table.
India, on the other hand, sit at sixth in the table and have various questions to answer as they'll be eyeing to avoid a series defeat by winning the second Test match. With the inclusion of Avesh Khan in the squad, we might see him even starting for India as well in the second Test and there are some changes which are expected given their poor and dismal bowling in the first Test.
