Shreyas Iyer, Spinner Star In India's Dominant Win
Coming to the IND vs NZ match, New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner won the toss and opted to bowled first in Dubai. The Indian top order struggled against NZ pacers Matt Henry and Kyle Jamieson as they reduced the Men in Blue to 30-3 in 7 overs. Virat Kohli's wicket was accounted by Glenn Phillips tremendous fielding as he grabbed a one-handed blinder at point to send the Indian veteran packing.
Shreyas Iyer (79) and Axar Patel (42) joined hands and rebuilt the Indian innings while Hardik Pandya (45) provided India with a late surge to take them to 249-9 in 50 overs on a sluggish pitch.
New Zealand began their chase cautiously but Hardik Pandya broke through with the first wicket as NZ's Rachin Ravindra became the first victom of the Indian bowling unit. From then onwards, India's spin attack became to hot too handle for the Kiwi batters with Kane Williamson (81) being the lone half-centurion for New Zealand.
