New Delhi: Indian women's team will be taking on New Zealand in their third group fixture at the ICC Women's T20 World Cup at the Junction Oval in Melbourne in a short while from now.
After registering two wins over Australia and Sri Lanka in their opening two encounters in the tournament, India would eye a win against the White Ferns and secure their berth in the semifinals of the tournament. Meanwhile, New Zealand head into the match after beating Sri Lanka in their opening fixture. Both the teams stand a good chance of reaching the last four stages of the tournament.
Toss Update: New Zealand skipper Sophie Devine won the toss and invited India to bat first at the Junction Oval at Melbourne.
NZ Skipper Sophie Devine: We are going to bowl first. It's a fresh wicket, we would like to make most of the conditions. Couple of changes for us. I thought Sri Lanka put us under the pump early on, we gotta be on the money against India. It's about sticking to your strengths and not get carried away. Hoping to continue my form.
Harmanpreet Kaur: We wanted to bat only. We have two changes today. We are doing well in patches, we need to do well in batting. We will try to give our best today. I did struggle in the last two games.
