IND vs NZ 2nd T20I: New Zealand win toss, opt to bat first

An 80-run defeat in Wellington on Wednesday has definitely bruised the men-in-blue and now, they look to land a counter-punch on the Kiwi face. Rohit Sharma and his men know how to bounce back as they exhibited the same in the fifth and the last One-Day. New Zealand may have had dominated India well in the shortest format of the game but it’s time to give it back. The Kiwis currently lead the series 1-0 while had to pull up their socks in order to keep themselves alive in the 3-match series.

Coming to the toss, the hosts will be batting first. Kane Williamson has shown faith on his previous playing XI and hasn't made any changes.

"We are going to bat. Usually a good batting surface here. It's always a great opportunity to play against India. We are up against one of the strongest teams in world cricket. Same team for us today. It was one of those days where people come and perform their role and it comes off. Hopefully, we can keep making strides in that direction," said Williamson.

Rohit Sharma too has fielded the same team and stated that he would have anyway opted to bowl first.

"We were looking to bowl first anyway. I know we lost the last game, but chasing has been our strength. We discussed what went wrong in the last game. Hopefully, we won't repeat them. We are playing the same team. I know there will be a lot of talk about Krunal and Kuldeep. Kuldeep has been brilliant for us. It's just that we want to see other guys as well, especially in overseas conditions," said Rohit Sharma.
