Ajinkya Rahane’s poor form continues after he failed to score in the second innings of the India vs England. Rahane seems a very different payer when playing in home conditions, he doesn’t look confident and is always looking to defend the ball. After he scored that century in Melbourne, he hasn’t been the same player ever since. He has got out cheaply and without making a lot of runs.
Indian fans, who traditionally are known to be very loving get ruthless too if a player hasn’t performed well. Rahane is facing the same music now. After gaining tremendous amount of love and affection from the fans after the Australia series, the same fans are questioning the role of Rahane.
Here are some of the things that the fans on Twitter said:

England lead the four-match Test series by 1-0 as they defeated India by 228 runs. Virat Kohli got out to Ben Stokes on a ball that was dipping and surprisingly did not get the kind of bounce that was expected. So after Virat was back in the pavilion, no one really had any hopes of saving the match for India. The onus must be on the batsmen for not rising up to the occasion when it was required the most. All credit to the England team for scoring 500+ in the first innings and then also, tactically cleaning-up India’s batting order in the final innings of the Test.
