India Vs England, 5th Test: Rahul Dravid on Wednesday talked about Rohit Sharma’s availability and his current situation for the crucial 5th Test match between India and England. Indian team coach mentioned that Rohit Sharma "has not been ruled out" ahead of the rescheduled Test which starts on July 1.

“He’s being monitored by our medical team. He has not yet been ruled out. He needs to get the negative tests to be available," Rahul Dravid told media persons.

"We’ll keep monitoring that (Rohit Sharma's situation), as we still got those 36 hours or so to go. We’ll have a test later tonight as well and maybe one tomorrow morning as well. And then we’ll see obviously, he’ll have to come out of that and it’s really up to the medical team and the sports science team to decide on that,” the Indian coach added.

He also stated that a call on captaincy will be taken by the selection committee headed by Chetan Sharma.

Dravid also talked about England and their form and approach since Brendon McCullum took over as the head coach. Former Indian Test captain said that he isn’t fazed and has too much confidence in this Indian side.

“To be honest with you, we’ve been a pretty positive side as well. We were second in the World Test Championship cycle last year, this year we find ourselves third in the table, just underneath the top two. We’ve been pretty successful in getting 20 wickets and winning Test matches. That for me is positive cricket as well,” Dravid said.
