India vs England 2nd Test match is underway and after a struggling first session, India look a little steady during the second session of play. Rohit Sharma is playing the role of an anchor and the team looks to build a score around Rohit’s innings. It will be a relief for Sharma as his inclusion was being questioned by certain fans and experts. He completed his century with 14 fours and two sixes. This is the seventh hundred of Rohit Sharma's career.

Rohit’s 100 would mean that India can be more comfortable and look to score as many runs possible in the first innings. As the pitch is set to deteriorate in the later part of the Test match, any score in excess of 400 would be good for India. There were two phases in Rohit’s innings. He started the innings with a free flowing pace before the first session, while in the second session, the run flow was halted and the strike rate went down considerably.

It seems like there has been a change of plan during the Lunch break on Day 1 after the early loss of wickets for India. Meanwhile, Rahane is also looking good alongside Rohit. The plan would be to not lose wickets and bat for as long as they can.

India's score stood at 150/3 and the partnership also crossed 50 runs. Kohli and coach Shastri would be hoping for these two men to continue to play just the way they are.
