Star batsman Mushfiqur Rahim's unbeaten (60 off 43 balls) knock powered Bangladesh to a emphatic 7-wickets win vs India at Delhi. The Bangla tigers defeated team India for the first time in T20Is. This was also the first T20I win for Bangladesh without Shakib and Tamim in the playing XI.

With this win, the visitors took a 1-0 lead in the 3-match T20I series against India.

Young India paceman Deepak Chahar opened the bowling attack for team India and bagged the first wicket in form of Liton Das(7 off 4 balls). Chahar delivered a solid first over - conceding just 3 runs and bagged a wicket as well.

After a tight start, B'desh batsmen started throwing their bat at almost every delivery to lessen the building pressure. The visitors crossed the fifty mark without much fuss. At the end of powerplay, Bangladesh managed to keep the scoreboard ticking despite losing Liton Das.

Chahal came up with the much needed breakthrough by taking out Mohammad Naim for 26 as Dhawan grabbed a good catch to finally bring out his trademark thigh-slap celebration.

After 10 overs, Bangladesh were 62/2 with India needing 87 to defend from final 60 balls. Soumya and Mushfiq continued to build their strong partnership and needed another 50 runs to win from five overs.

Putting an end to visitors hope, speedster Khallel Ahmed rattled Soumya Sarkar's of stumps to get him bowled out for 39.

A dropped catch from Krunal's hands in the 18th over for a boundary helped Mushfiqur Rahim survive and leaving Bangladesh needing another 29 in the final15 balls. Rahim turned the chase around by smashing Kahleel for 16 runs off the 19th over.

Debutant Shivam Dube bowled the final over - also his first in T20Is but failed to defend 4 runs as Rahim bagged a maiden win vs India in T20 format.

Batting first, India finished off their first innings in style, courtesy late blows from Washington Sundar and Krunal Pandya to give team India a competitive total of 148/6 to defend against the Bangla Tigers in the first T20I at Delhi.

The duo of Wasghington Sundar and Krunal Pandya garnered some crucial runs in the final overs to help team India attain a respectable total after 20 overs.
