After experiencing a humiliating loss in the hands of New Zealand, India will look to better their batting woes when they lock horns with Bangladesh in their 2nd warm-up match at Cardiff on Tuesday.

While India lost their last face-off by 6 wickets, Bangladesh will be playing their first practice game as their last match against Pakistan was called off due to rain on Sunday.

Toss Update:

Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza has won the toss and elected to bowl first. He reckons that the pitch that's been under covers for a couple of days might have some early assistance.

“The wicket was under the cover for the last few days, mostly everyone is playing today. Our last match was washed out. They (India) are one of the biggest sides in the tournament, it's going to be tough. But let's see,” said Mortaza.

Virat Kohli said that he would have wanted to bowl after what they went through in similar conditions against New Zealand. Kedar Jadhav is still recovering from the shoulder injury while Vijay Shankar is back.

“First game we batted first, similar conditions, we put ourselves to challenging situations. But we got a hang of what we needed to do well from the last game. We played a practice game after 2 days of arriving in England. We just want to focus on our energy levels. We have played a lot of cricket compared to all other teams,” said Kohli.
