IND vs BAN 1st T20I Highlights: India Beat Bangladesh By 7 Wickets After An All-Round Show At Gwalior
IND vs BAN 1st T20I Highlights: India defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the series opener at Gwalior.
Playing the first T20I game at home after becoming the World Champions earlier in the year, Team India showed exactly why they are crowned with the 'Champions' tag. After bowling Bangladesh out for 127 in 19.5 overs on a batting-friendly pitch, the batters made a mockery of the target as both the Indian openers, Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma, came with all guns blazing. Abhishek Sharma was unlucky as he ran himself out trying to take a non-existent single but the wicket did not affect India's scoring rate. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav brought out his 360 degress play as he hit three stylish sixes before falling for 29.
Hardik Pandya was the highest-scorer in the match as he scored 39 runs off just 16 balls. He was the one who took India home with a massive six off Taskin Ahmed's bowling.
In the bowling department, it was Varun Chakravarthy who was the pick of the bowlers along with pacer Arshdeep Singh. Chakravarthy claimed a three-wicket haul in what was his first T20I in over 1000 days' gap. Arshdeep also bagged a three-for, helping India restricting Bangladesh for a meager first-innings total. Arshdeep also bagged the Player of he Match award for his spell.
