Bangladesh's tour to India is set to begin from September 19 onwards, featuring two Tests and three T20Is. The tour begins with a Test match between India and Bangladesh in Chennai.

IND vs BAN Tests marks the return of legends Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to the longest format. Kohli currently holds the record for the most wins in a year as Indian captain, a record that Rohit has yet to surpass.

Under Virat Kohli's leadership, India won 31 matches each in both 2017 and 2019, surpassing MS Dhoni's record and breaking the previous record set by Mohammad Azharuddin for the most wins in a year.

Rohit Sharma has not yet matched this achievement; under his captaincy, India won 28 matches in 2022 and 24 matches in 2023.

Breaking Virat Kohli's record will be a tough challenge for any captain. With Rohit Sharma now retired from T20Is, he will focus on leading Team India only in ODIs and Tests.

The upcoming two-match Test series between India and Bangladesh begins on September 19, with the first Test taking place in Chennai and the second in Kanpur.

India has a busy season ahead, featuring a total of 10 Test matches. Rohit Sharma will have the opportunity to surpass Virat Kohli on the elite list.
