India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur has been a frustrating affair of rain delays. Since its start on September 27, only 35 overs of play have been possible, all on Day 1. While continuous rains on Day 2 made it impossible for any cricket to happen, Day 3 saw no rain and yet there was no play, due to the wet outfield. This leaves fans wondering whether there will be any play on Day 4 of the IND vs BAN Test on September 30 (Monday).

Having witnessed no play on Day 2 and Day 3 of the IND vs BAN Kanpur Test, fans can take a sigh of relief as Day 4 of the match is expected to have suitable weather for the play to resume, given there are no more delays due to the wet outfield at the stadium in Kanpur.

No Play On Day 3 Despite No Rain Leaves Fans Outraged

Interestingly, Day 3 did not even see any rain during the playing hours and yet there was no play possible, owing to the wet outfield. This has sparked concerns among cricket fans about the stadium’s inadequate drainage system. The umpires and match officials deemed the wet outfield at the Green Park stadium unsuitable for play to continue despite the conditions being the brightest of all days in the Test. There were inspections at 10:00 AM IST, 12:00 PM IST and then the final one at 2:00 PM IST when the day was called off despite the sun shining at Kanpur, leaving fans confused and outraged at the stadium's facilities.
