Bangladesh set hosts India a 154-run target to win in the 2nd T2OI of the 3-match series at the Saurashtra Cricket Ground in Rajkot on Thursday. The visitors piled up a 153-run total came on the back of a solid opening stand by openers Liton Das and Mohammad Naim and a quickfire 30-run knock by their skipper Mahmudullah towards the end of the innings.

Batting first, Bangladesh got off to a flier with openers Liton Das and Mohammad Naim providing a solid foundation with a 60-run partnership. Against the run of play, Liton Das (29) threw away his wicket to a needless run-out.  Naim who top scored with 36, holed out to Shreyas Iyer at deep midwicket off Washington Sundar in the 11th over.

Soumya Sarkar pressed on the scoring rate with a well compiled 30 before getting stumped by Rishabh Pant off the bowling off Yuzvendra Chahal. The hero of the last match Mushfiqur Rahim dint last long either, falling cheaply to the spin of Chahal. Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah opened up his arms and struck a few lusty blows to step up the ante.

Seamer Khalil Ahmed who proved expensive in his opening spell came back strongly to dismiss Afif Hossain. Deepak Chahar then got rid of the dangerous Mahmudullah.

The Indians did well to restrict the visitors to a below par total after the visitors laid down a strong platform early in the innings.

Brief scores: Bangladesh 153/6 in 20 overs (Mohammad Naim 36, Yuzvendra Chahal 2/28) vs India
