India's wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha has not put a step wrong after making his comeback into the Indian Test team. Continuing from his good show in the Indore Test, the acrobatic glovesman was at his brilliant best during the opening day of the Pink Ball Test match against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens.

Saha picked up not one but two stunning catches to play a major part in the dismissals of Bangladesh opener Shadman Isman and experienced middle order batsman Mahmudullah.

The diminutive wicket-keeper took a brilliant catch off the bowling off seamer Ishant Sharma to get rid of Mahmudullah. What made Saha’s effort absolutely jaw dropping was the fact that after the ball took an outside edge, it was dying on to the ground but the India wicket-keeper dove full length to grab the ball. His elbow hit the ground but Saha ensured the ball didn’t pop out of his hand.

Indian skipper Kohli, who was fielding at the slips beside Saha, also attempted the catch but Saha dived in front of the India skipper to complete the dismissal. Kohli look amazed at Saha's athleticism and hugged him, applauding his effort . When the camera panned towards the dressing room, Ravi Shastri was picture mouthing: “What a catch!”

Indian seamers wrecked through the Bangladesh batting order with the pink ball to bowl them out for a paltry 106 in their first innings on the opening day of the Eden Gardens Day-Night Test.

Ishant Sharma spearheaded a brilliant bowling effort to bowl out the visitors with a five wicket haul. Meanwhile seamers Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Shami also chipped in with wickets in regular intervals to dent the Bangladesh batting order.
