After conquering the T20I series, Team Indian gears up for the opening Test of the 2-match series against Bangladesh at Indore’s Holkar Stadium on Thursday.

India will enter into the face-off as the ICC World Test Championship table-toppers while Bangladesh are languishing at the bottom of the table.

The visitors recently registered their first-ever T20I win over India and would look to break the duck in the longest format as well.

Toss Update:

Bangladesh have won the toss and they will be batting first at the Holkar Stadium, Indore. The visitors have inducted 7 batters and 4 bowlers for the opening Test.

“We will bat first. It's a bit hard and it might break in fourth innings. It's a great honour to captain Bangladesh,” said Monimul Haque at the toss.

On the other hand, India made just one change to the team that defeated South Africa in the final Test in Ranchi; pacer Ishant Sharma has replaced spinner Shahbaz Nadeem.

“It has a bit of grass on it and historically Indore on day 1 has been a bit spicy plus we are playing three seamers. We wanted to bowl first but we also want batsmen to bat in tough conditions. It's ideal for our seamers who are in top form. I think, from day 2 onwards it will be a beautiful track to bat on. We are playing two spinners as well so we have covered for the third innings as well,” said Kohli at the toss.
