IND vs AUS 4th Test Highlights: Star batters Shubman Gill (128) and Virat Kohli (59 not out) batted with poise and maturity to help score 289 for three by the end of day three's play of the fourth Test against Australia at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday. At Stumps, Australia lead India by 191 runs. For India to qualify for World Test Championship final, they need to beat Australia in 4th Test for a 3-1 series win.

While Virat Kohli dazzled with an unbeaten ton -- his first Test ton after a long gap of 14 months, talented young opener Shubman Gill hit his second Test hundred to bring the game in balance. Apart from scoring a ton, Shubman got India off to a good start by adding a crucial 74-run partnership for first wicket with captain Rohit Sharma (35 off 58 balls) and 113 for the second wicket with Cheteshwar Pujara (42 off 121 balls).

Ahmebabad track will most likely be conducive for batting even on Day 4, also providing help to the spinners. Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja (16 batting), who remained unbeaten at Stumps on Day 3, won't face many difficulties in negotiating the Australian attack on Day 4 with India still 191 runs behind Australia's first innings score of 480.

The pace of his partnership with Ravindra Jadeja (16 batting, 54 balls) will set the narrative for the final couple of days.

The Indian team management is probably mulling batting the entire fourth day and try to get a lead in excess of 150 in order to unleash the spinners on the final day, when significant turn will be on offer.

As the SG Test ball gets older, scoring becomes increasingly difficult and Australia took a cue from India. Till 93 overs were bowled, Steve Smith didn't take the second new ball, preventing India from getting some easy runs.
