Sydney: The Indian cricket team is all set to play three ODIs, three T20Is and 4 Tests against the Australian cricket team between October 11 and January 17, as per the schedule confirmed by Cricket Australia.

Ex-Australia skipper Ian Chappell believes team India's young wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav will prove to be the 'biggest threat' for the Aussies in the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy.

"Kuldeep Yadav's wristspin is the biggest wicket-taking threat on Australian pitches. The decision will call for brave selections," Chappell wrote in his column for ESPNcricinfo.

Last time, Virat Kohli-led Indian team scripted history by defeating the Tim Paine-led Aussies on their home soil 2-1 to become the first-ever Indian team to register Test series win in Australia.

In the fourth and the final Test of the series at the SCG, Kuldeep Yadav bowled remarkably well during that tour as he managed to attain a five-wicket haul in 31.5 overs giving away 99 runs. However, the game ended in a draw due to rain.

Team India has some quality spinners like Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in their squad.

"Choosing a spinner will prove a major headache for the Indian selectors. R Ashwin has a great overall record, but not so much in Australia. Ravindra Jadeja's all-round talents and improved bowling form make him a legitimate challenger," he said.
