Sydney: Cricket Australia on Thursday announced a full international schedule for the 2020-21 summer. As per schedule confirmed by the CA, the Indian cricket team will play three ODIs, three T20Is and 4 Tests against the Australian cricket team between October 11 and January 17.

Skipper Virat Kohli led-India will play their first-ever D/N Test match on foreign soil against the hosts Australia at Adelaide Oval from December 11 to 15, during the four-match Border Gavaskar Trophy, scheduled to take place by the end of the year 2020.

India will play its first Test match against Australia at the Gabba from December 3-7, followed by second in Adelaide (December 11-15), third in Melbourne (December 26-30) and the final and fourth game in Sydney (January 3-7).

Team India have played just one D/N Test against Bangladesh in Kolkata, which they won. On the other hand, superpower Australia has won all their D/N Tests (7) so far.

"The Australian men's team recently claimed the No. 1 Test ranking after India had held top spot for almost four years. The Border-Gavaskar series is one of international sport's great rivalries and this will no doubt be another enthralling chapter," said Cricket Australia CEO Kevin Roberts in an official statement.

Peter Campbell, Head of Fox Sports, said: "Three T20's, Three ODI's, a four Test series against India -- Smith v Kohli, the two top ranked Test players from two of the top ranked Test nations head to head on Australian soil."

Last time, team India under Virat Kohli's captaincy scripted history by defeating the Tim Paine-led Aussies on their home soil 2-1 - becoming the first-ever Indian team to register a Test series win in Australia.
