New Delhi: Ashwin took 3 wickets to reduce Australia to 101 for six, still needing 87 runs to win at Tea on Day of the second India-Australia Test at Bengaluru.

Chasing a target of 188, Australia found themselves in hot soup as the Indian seamers started off brilliantly. Ishant Sharma produced a beauty to remove Renshaw for 5 and then it was Umesh Yadav’s turn to showcase mastery with the ball in hand.

In Between, Ashwin got the important breakthrough of Warner as the latter missed an attempted sweep shot to be trapped LBW.

Shaun Marsh had a tough one from the umpire but he did not go for a review even though replays conveyed that the ball would have missed the stumps.

Umesh Yadav got the most important wicket of the Australian captain Smith when one of his balls did not bounce as it should have.

Ashwin then sent back Mitchell Marsh and Matthew Wade to put India right on top.
