New Delhi: India made a strong comeback led by Jadeja’s six-for followed by a solid opening partnership at Lunch on Day 3 of the second India-Australia Test in Bengaluru.

India were 38/0, trailing Australia by 49 runs when bails were removed by the umpires for Lunch on Day 3.

Earlier, it was Ravindra Jadeja, who led India’s charge with the ball by sweeping the Australian tail to return with figures of 6 for 63.

Largely under-bowled for the major part of Day 2, Jadeja more than made for it on Day 3.  Mainly because of his control spin bowling, India were able to restrict Australia to a lead of 87.

Indian openers Rahul (20) and Mukund (16) responded brilliantly thereafter by making sure there was no casualty before lunch.

Even though, India are still 49 runs behind but the Test match is evenly poised as it will be the visitors who will bat last on a track which is playing all sorts of tricks.
