New Delhi: Cheteshwar Pujara carried his superb form with the bat by registering his eleventh Test ton to take India to 303 for 4 at tea on Day 3.



Pujara, who started of watchfully in the morning scored fluently in the second session even though India lost crucial wickets at the other end.



Australia got the all important of Virat Kohli right after lunch through Cummins. Making a comeback to Test cricket after 5 years, Cummins was the pick of the bowlers for Australia. He drew Kohli to play an expansive drive outside off stump. The ball kissed the outside edge and Smith did the rest at second slip.



He then got Rahane with sheer pace and bounce. The latter attempted a guide over the slips, only to glove it through to keeper Wade for 14.



Pujara though, held India’s fort firm. He put the bad ones away and was flawless in his defense. He made sure India scored 110 runs at a loss of 2 wickets, which meant the session belonged to the hosts.



Karun Nair (13) has joined Pujara with India still trailing Australia by 148 runs.
