That's it! The formalities are done. India have thumped Sri Lanka by 141 runs in the 2nd ODI at Mohali to level the series. It has been a complete performance by the Indians. One man who stood out from the rest was the captian Rohit Sharma, who took the game away from Sri Lanka by becoming the only cricketer to score three double centuries in ODIs.
Mathews fought a lone battle for Sri Lanka with a fighitng 111* but the task was too much for him. A disciplined bowling performance led leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal (3/60) tied Sri Lanka down to 251 for 8 in 50 overs.

Gunaratne falls
The Chess master springs into action yet again. Flighted delivery enticing the batsman, Gunaratne accpets the inviation by chargind down the track but fails to make contact as the ball spins past his bat. All to easy for Dhoni behind the stumps. Sri Lanka are five down now.
Fifty for Mathews
That's fifty for Angelo Mathews. His 36th in ODI cricket. He has to do something out of the ordinary if Sri Lanka wishes to go anywhere near India's total.
Chahal breaks threatening stand
Short and wide, Dickwella (22) gets a thickish outside edge and Sundar makes no mistake at short third man. Chahal brings an end to a threatening stand. SL: 115/4

The front foot is behind the line and Bumrah has the last laugh. Gunathilaka gets cuaght down the leg side and India have removed both the Lankan openers cheaply.
Pandya strikes
Not the start Sri Lanka would have wanted. One of their mainstays Upul Tharanga departs early. Pandya bowls it wide, Tharanga just throws his bat at it only provide to a simple catch to the cover-point fielder. SL: 16/1
Sri Lankan batsmen have a huge task on their hand. Their target is 393.
Boy what an innings from Rohit Sharma. He went from 100 to 200 in just 36 balls. Sri Lankan bowlers have to take a lot of blame for that. Suranga Lakmal and Nuwan Pradeep who were impeccable with their line and lengths in Dharamsala were guilty of bolwing full tosses during the death overs. They crumbled under pressure. But no one can take anything away from Rohit. He became the first captain to score a double ton in ODIs and aslo the first batsman to score three double hundreds.

With an aim to seal the series, visiting Captain Thisara Perera won the toss and invited the Indian team to bat first at the Punjab Cricket Association stadium in Mohali on Wednesday.
After suffering a humiliating defeat to the visitors in Dharamsala, it will be a do-or-die encounter for the Indian team and win will keep their hopes alive of clinching the three-match ODI series
The hosts have included young and sensational all-rounder Washington Sundar and he set to replace chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI.
While, the Thisara Pererar led side has opted to go with same squad that emerged victorious in the opening encounter in Dharamsala.
