India A are currently taking on Pakistan A in the ACC Men's Emerging Cup in Colombo. While Pakistan A won the the toss and elected to bat first, the Indian team's wicketkeeper Dhruv Jurel attracted attention as he was keeping wickets using the gloves gifted by his Rajasthan Royals teammate, England's T20 World Cup-winning captain Jos Buttler. Meanwhile, after early loss of wickets post their decision to bat first, Pakistan did find a way to get to a respectable total as they posted 205. However, they failed to bat their full quota of overs as got bowled out in 48 overs which may come back to haunt them against a formidable Indian batting line up. Qasim Akram (48) was the leading run-scorer for the Pakistan A side while Rajvardhan Hangargekar was the pick of the bowlers for the Yash Dhull-led side as he scalped 5 wickets for 42 in his 8 overs.

Talking about Jurel's performance with the gloves in hand, it was a decent show for the stumper as he was involved in four dismissals, pouching three catches while also affecting one stumping to get rid of Kamran Ghulam. He would now be looking to chip in with the bat, should he get his chance in the run-chase.
