Iceland Cricket, renowned for its humorous takes on cricket-related matters, took a witty dig at the International Cricket Council (ICC), following the apex board announced the complete schedule of T20 World Cup 2024 in USA and West Indies. 


The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday (January 5) revealed a highly anticipated T20 World Cup encounter between India and Pakistan. The momentous IND vs PAK T20 World Cup 2024 clash is set to unfold in New York on June 9.


It's become a recurrent theme for arch-rivals India and Pakistan to share the same group in ICC tournaments as the two teams don't play bilateral cricket due to 'political tensions'. Taking note of the frequently occurring pattern, Iceland Cricket humorously took a sly dig at ICC.


"How much money does the ICC require not to put India and Pakistan in the same World Cup group?" their post read on X (formerly known as Twitter).






In the league stage of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in June, India finds itself in Group A alongside Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, and co-hosts USA.


The Men in Blue will kick off their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign on June 5 in New York with a match against Ireland. India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match will take place in New York on June 9.
