Matthew Hayden on KL Rahul: Pakistan batting coach Matthew Hayden has considered Team India opener KL Rahul as a big threat to his team. The India and Pakistan teams will begin their campaign at the Dubai International Stadium on October 24 in the T20 World Cup. The match will begin at 7.30 pm.
Former Australia opener Matthew Hayden has joined Pakistan for the T20 World Cup. Hayden considers KL Rahul a threat to his team amid Pakistan's preparations for Sunday's match. "I think KL Rahul is a big threat to Pakistan," Hayden said. "His dominance in the shorter formats is good," he added. Hayden also praised Rishabh Pant and called him a 'destructive batsman'.
KL Rahul in superb form'
KL Rahul is in superb form and he would like to continue it in the T20 World Cup as well. He scored 626 runs in 13 matches in IPL-14, scoring six half-centuries. The Indian think tank hopes Rahul will get the team off to a strong start in the tournament with Rohit Sharma at the top order.
On the other hand, Rishabh Pant is also in good form with the bat and Virat Kohli and Company will depend a lot on him in the middle order. Matthew Hayden, who joined the Pakistan team last week, said the players are in a good state of mind and are ready for all-important matches. Pakistan played two practice matches before the match on October 24. It played the first match against the West Indies, in which it won. On the other hand, it had to face defeat in the second match against South Africa.
"The mood is high, the relationships within the team are very strong and the players seem very happy and relaxed in spite of the obvious pressure starting from our first match," Hayden concluded.
