'I Think It Will Be Spicier': Virat Kohli's Take On The Remaining India Vs England Test Series

IND Vs ENG 4th Test: Virat Kohli was speaking on the eve of the Oval Test match. He also opened up about his trustworthy relationship with the coach, Ravi Shastri.

England vs India: Virat Kohli said that the IND Vs ENG series has been spicy so far and 'it'll be spicier over the next couple of weeks'. He also said that that's how the game should be played. Virat Kohli was present at the Taj Hotel in London, along with his teammates for the launch ceremony of a new exclusive members’ club ‘The Chambers’. 

“The idea was to take the game forward and play to win. We’re not here to fill in the numbers, we’re here to play cricket that is positive and play to win. “It’s been one spicy series, that’s the way it should be, and I just think it’ll be spicier over the next couple of weeks,” he said at the event as quoted by PTI.

“Our working relationship, and off the field as well, has been built on mutual respect and trust, on a vision that has been shared, which has been focussed in one direction which is to take Indian cricket higher and in a better place than we found it,” said Kohli.

The event also marked the UK launch of Ravi Shastri’s debut book as an author; ‘Stargazing: The Players In My Life’. Kohli also spoke about the book. He said, “It’s his first book and I hope he writes a few more because he has a lot more to share."

Shastri, who was present at the event said that it becomes easier when the captain and the team are on the same plane. 

India will play England in the 4th Test match of the series at the Oval from 3:30 pm IST.
