The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 got hit by the dreaded Coronavirus on Friday after initial reports confirmed that two players and 12 staff members of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) tested positive for the infection. Without revealing any names of the players or the franchise, BCCI in a press release had stated that two players have tested positive Covid-19 positive, including an Indian fast-bowler and a top-order India A batsman.

BCCI revealed that a fast-bowler tested Covid-19 positive but the cricketing board didn't reveal the name of the player, which led to fans start guessing name of the cricketer. Some reports suggested that it was CSK's  lethal speedster Deepak Chahar who had tested positive for the infection but still an official confirmation by either CSK or BCCI was awaited.

Finally, what put an end to all speculations were social media posts of Malti Chahar and Rahul Chahar, sister and brother of CSK pacer Deepak Chahar.

"You are a true warrior, born to fight. Day is brighter after the darkest night. May you come out stronger than ever before. With love & prayers, waiting to see you roar," Malti Chahar had posted on Instagram on Saturday.

Deepak Chahar's cousin Rahul is also in United Arab Emirates for IPL 2020 as he plays for Mumbai Indians. Rahul too wished Chahar a speedy recovery.

"Stay strong brother, hoping for your speedy recovery and all my prayers for you get well soon @deepak_chahar9," Rahul Chahar captioned the video.

Deepak Chahar is a key bowler for the Chennai Super Kings and his timely recovery will be crucial for his squad.

In yet another major blow to the Dhoni-led CSK, star middle order batsman Suresh Raina decided to pullout from this year's IPL due to 'personal reasons'.

Calling Raina the heart of CSK, Australian cricket team's star all-rounder Shane Watson, who also plays for the same franchise, posted a heartfelt video on Saturday.
