Pakistan pacer, Hasan Ali has issued a statement for the first time after dropping that all-important catch of Matthew Wade in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup. Ali said that he is 'disappointed' and 'wants to serve Pakistan cricket' despite the drop catch.

To put things in perspective, after Hasan Ali's dropped cath, Matthew Wade went on to finish the match by hitting three back-to-back sixes of Shaheen Afridi's bowling.

Many fans and former cricketers blamed Hasan Ali for not keeping his cool at the crucial moment, but a lot of them also sent him good wishes. In his statement, Ali also thanked the fans who stood with him in the difficult times.

Hasan Ali's Full Statement

"I know you all are upset because my performance didn't meet your expectations but not more disappointed than me. Don't change your expectations from me. I want to serve Pakistan cricket at the highest level possible, so back to hard work. This patch will make me stronger. Thank you for all the messages, tweets, posts, calls and duas (prayers) – needed them."

Hasan Ali got emotional but he also got support from his fellow teammate, Haris Rauf:

Australia defeated Pakistan in the semi-final with one over to spare. The Aussies will play New Zealand in the final of the T20 World Cup 2021.
