Pakistan all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez is all set to make a comeback for their tour to Zimbabwe for a tri-series with Australia and a 5-match ODI series against the hosts.

The management has subsequently turned down fast-bowler Muhammad Aamir’s request for a break and he has been named in both squads.

Hafeez’s much controversial bowling action has been cleared by the ICC and will return to action after last playing in January. The former Pakistan skipper holds an experience of 200 ODIs and 81 T20I and will be of great help to his team.

The selectors had to drop right-hand batsman Ahmad Shehzad after he was tested positive in a dope test for cannabis.

All-rounder Imad Wasim and batsman Babar Azam have also been dropped from the tour due to knee injury and fractured arm respectively.

Pakistan’s ODI squad will welcome pacer Junaid Khan and leg-spinner Yasir Shah, who successfully passed the fitness test.

22-year-old Sahabzada Farahan has got a maiden call up in the T20 squad.
