Dortmund: The German football giant, Borussia Dortmund is looking for a crossover with cricket and they have got a wonderful player to do that. None other than India's opening batsman, KL Rahul. Dortmund posted a video on their social media accounts where KL Rahul is seen throwing the BvB boys a cricket challenge.
The challenge is accepted by captain Maco Reus and goalkeeper Luca Unbehaun. Both these players are facing the 'cricket challenge' given to them by KL Rahul. "Hey BVB Players, it's great to see you. Firstly a big Congratulations on your DFB-Pokal win, but I hope you guys are feeling competitive cause I am gonna throw you guys a small challenge. We all know how good you guys are with football but let's see how well do you do in cricket," says Rahul while posing this challenge.
Take a look at the videos yourself to see who fared well and who was the winner between Reus and Unbehaun.
As you can see in the video, both the players look quite enthusiastic about the challenge. The first challenge was to bowl a ball and hit the stumps. Each player got three chances. While captain Marco Reus missed all three chances, but, Unbehaun was good with his Shaun Tait like action to hit the wicket once.
The second challenge was a batting challenge where the players had to put the ball inside the buckets after hitting it with the bat. Both players were average but eventually, Unbehaun managed to brisk past his captain and win the challenge.
The players performed so bad that even Dortmund put up a caption pulling Reus' leg. The caption read - "Thankfully our Captain is better with a football than he is with a cricket bat!"
