English skipper Eoin Morgan is all set to come back for the third ODI against Australia on June 19 at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. He had been made to rest at the last minute in the previous game due to a back spasm.

In his absence in the second ODI, opener Jason Roy scored a magnificent 120 off 108 balls and stand-in skipper Jos Buttler just missed his century by 9 runs but the team posted a huge target of 343 for the visitors at the loss of 8 wickets. Liam Plunkett, on the other hand, took 4 wickets to hand England their second victory in the series.

Jos Buttler led the side in the captain’s absence and Sam Billing replaced him in the line-up. With his return, England is looking for a series win at Trent Bridge in Nottingham on June 19.

The return of Morgan will strengthen the already solid English batting line-up. He played a crucial role in the first ODI against Australia where he scored 69 off 74 deliveries.

While Morgan was absent for a short duration, all-rounder Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes will miss the entire series against Australia. Ben Stokes suffered from a hamstring injury but is doing fine and is expected to be back for the series against India.
