Women's T20 World Cup 2024: England Women's Cricket Team head coach Jon Lewis has made a bold statement in concern with England Women's chances of winning the T20 World Cup 2024, as the 48-year old stated that he is "confident" that Heather Knight will lead the side to glory in Bangladesh.
"I feel like we’ve got pretty much all bases covered at the moment. We’ve played some fantastic cricket over this series, and we’re confident that we can win the (T20) World Cup," said the England Women's head coach.
England Women are coming off a highly successful white-ball series against New Zealand, as the visitors looked extremely clueless in the English conditions and failed to win even a single match, and were whitewashed 8-0 in the 3 ODI's and 5 T20I's.

England Women skipper Heather Knight, in a recent interview with BBC Sport, spoke on her recent form and the position in which England Women's Cricket Team stands in concern with the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup 2024 in Bangladesh. She had the following to say:
"I haven’t had much time in the middle because the girls at the top have done so well. I’m disappointed I haven’t contributed too much in this series when I have got a chance. So, it was really nice to get a contribution today and I feel my game is in a really good place."
"We started talking about it a couple of days ago, that we really wanted to finish this summer unbeaten. We’ve been so ruthless throughout the series. It’s been something to work on for us over the last six to 12 months, to really nail teams when we’re on top and we’ve done that brilliantly this series."
"All-round performances, with lots of different contributions so I’m a very happy captain. Picking that World Cup squad is going to be really hard and nailing it down to an XI will be a tough thing to do, but that’s a really good place to be in."
