A video has gone viral on social media in which Australian stars Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja can be seen briefly confronting a spectator for shouting at Aussie players while they were walking back towards the dressing room. Australia were bowled out for 295 on Day 2 of ENG vs AUS 5th Ashes 2023 Test, securing a 12-run lead in reply to England's first innings total of 283.

Though the margin is quite small, the run-scoring rate or the batting approach of both teams was very different. England scored 283 runs at a run-rate of 5.17. Australia, on the other hand, got their 295 at 2.85. On Day 3, England made 395 at a run-rate of over 4. It is clear that England significantly scored quicker compared to Australia's not-too-slow batting approach.

As Australian players were walking back to the dressing room, a fan had a go, calling them "boring", presumably taking a dig at them for their scoring rate in the Test match.

The comment did not go down well with Australian batting star Marnus Labuschagne who confronted the fan, saying: "What did you say? What did you say mate?". Usman Khawaja requested the fan to "calm down". "You’re just about to go at everyone else," added Labuschagne.

Notably, earlier this month, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) suspended three members for altercation with David Warner and Usman Khawaja in particular in Lord's Long Room following Jonny Bairstow's controversial stumping on the fifth day of the Lord’s Test.

The 5th Test match of the Ashes 2023 series between England and Australia has reached a very exciting point. At the end of the fourth day of the Oval Test, the Australian team reached 135 runs without losing any wicket and need 249 runs on the final day to win fifth Ashes Test. Australia are 2-1 ahead in five-match Test series and if they beat England in fifth Ashes Test, they will win the series 3-1.
