Virat Kohli's upcoming 35th birthday on November 5th is set to be celebrated in grand style. The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has planned an extravagant celebration, including a special cake-cutting ceremony and various festivities for the occasion. Reports suggest that a laser show and fireworks display will be held at Eden Gardens before the India vs South Africa ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 match. In addition, 70,000 face masks featuring Kohli's image will be distributed to the crowd as part of the birthday celebrations.

Snehasish Ganguly, the President of CAB, mentioned while speaking to RevSportz, "We have ordered a cake for Virat, and the design will be something everyone associates with Virat Kohli.”

“I'm not sharing the pictures yet to keep it a surprise. We also plan to host a fireworks show during the mid-innings interval, both to celebrate Virat and to involve the crowd. We want to convey that the entire Kolkata crowd is part of the celebrations. We expect a full house, and everyone in the stands is a fan of Virat. This is a gesture on behalf of all of them,” he added further.

Kohli's birthday falls on the same day that India will take on South Africa at the iconic Eden Gardens. The CAB will organise a special cake-cutting ceremony for Kohli before this highly anticipated match.

A packed stadium is anticipated on November 5th when India square off against the in-form South Africa, and the bonus for the Kolkata crowd will be the birthday celebration of Virat Kohli.

Notably, Kohli is just one century away from matching Sachin Tendulkar's record of the most centuries in ODI cricket (49). His 48th century in the format came against Bangladesh in Pune. The star batsman will aim to provide the perfect gift to his fans on his special day by equaling the world record of his idol and helping India secure the top position in the points table by defeating South Africa.
