Senior batter Kedar Jadhav has been included in the West Zone squad, replacing Yuvraj Dodiya, who was selected for the India A team for the upcoming Emerging Teams Asia Cup. In the recently passed IPL 2023, Jadhav came into the Royal Challengers Bangalore side as a replacement for David Willey. He already played 17 games for RCB and had again been called into the side for INR 1 Crore.


Earlier, the veteran batter went unsold in this year’s IPL auction and was doing Marathi commentary. The 38-year-old batter featured in 82 first-class matches and has 5272 runs under his belt at an average of 48.07, including 16 centuries. Talking about IPL, Kedar started playing the cash-rich league in 2010 and has played 93 games so far, scoring 1196 runs.

Yuvraj Dodiya the Saurashtra off-spinner on the other side has scalped the wicket of Rinku Singh, who is playing for Central Zone. However, the match got delayed due to heavy rain and Central Zone still require 262 runs to win the match with six wickets in the hut. Dodiya had a great Ranji season where he went on to pick 30 wickets in six games, including a five-wicket haul and three four-wicket hauls. Stalwarts like Cheteshwar Pujara, and Suryakumar Yadav are also playing for the West Zone side with Priyank Panchal who is leading the side. 


The Duleep Trophy 2023-24 started on June 28 and the summit clash is scheduled to take place on  July 12. Teams like East Zone, West Zone, North Zone, South Zone, Central Zone, and North-East Zone have been playing against each other for the top honors.
