Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former Indian captain, has yet again set an example of simplicity during India’s 2nd T20I against Ireland on June 29.

Though he wasn’t included in the playing XI and was replaced by Dinesh Karthik, Dhoni still garnered the limelight when he turned into a water boy and came out to serve drinks to batsmen Suresh Raina and Manish Pandey. In addition, he also carried a kitbag on his shoulder during his visit.

His presence on the ground turned out to be one of the best moments of the game. Meanwhile, the moment was captured on the camera and the glimpses were shared on social platforms.

This is not the first time that the Indian limited-overs wicketkeeper served his team as a water boy. Last year during the ICC Champions Trophy, he was spotted taking up the duty at a practice match against Bangladesh.

Dhoni, along with Shikhar Dhawan, Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, were rested for the 2nd face-off against Ireland. Indian won the game by 142 runs, whitewashing Ireland in the series 2-0.

India’s much-awaited series against England will kickstart on July 3 with the first T20I at the Old Trafford cricket stadium in Manchester.
