Indian fast-bowler, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and his wife, Nupur, have been blessed with a baby girl. This is the first time that Bhuvneshwar has become a father.  The treasurer of the Meerut District Cricket Association (MDCA) Rakesh Goyal, confirmed this news to the media.

It is learned that Nupur gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday at around 9 am in the morning at a private hospital in Delhi, as per reports. Bhuvneshwar married Nupur Nagar on 23 November 2017. They both live in Noida and completed four years of marriage on Tuesday.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was with the Indian team for the T20I series against New Zealand and thus was not able to meet his wife after childbirth. It is being said that Bhuvneshwar will meet his newborn on Thursday.

The Indian pacer had a tough year, professionally as well as personally. Kumar's father, Kiran Pal Singh, passed away at his Meerut residence in May after battling liver infection for eight months. In the recently concluded T20I series, Bhuvneshwar picked 3 wickets in 3 matches.

Bhuvneshwar only played one game in the T20 World Cup against Pakistan where he gave away 25 runs in three overs. He wasn't picked after that match. The 31-year old pacer has been in and out of the Test side, but has been a constant in India's one-day sides.
