India have been struggling to prove their mettle on the Australian soil on their previous tours. Ever since they have started touring Australia in 1947, they could never dominate. India have won just 5 and have drawn 11 matches but have lost 44 Test matches in Australia.

However, the recent turmoil in the Australian side after the infamous ball-tampering saga seems to be giving a rare chance to Indians to overshadow the past results. The current Australian side looks extremely unsettled and former Australian skipper Michale Clarke feels that India has the perfect opportunity to dominate the proceedings.

“Both teams are looking to in but India is in some great form and in my opinion, its India’s first opportunity to dominate Australia in their own backyard,” said Clarke during an interview.

The former Aussie skipper also feels that India could also notch up their maiden Test series win in Australia. He said, “This is a huge chance or Virat Kohli and team to win for the first time in Australia.”

The men in blue are currently in a red-hot form while the Aussies will miss Steve Smith and David Warner and their absence is the biggest concern for the side which has been terribly struggling right after their ousting.

The touring side has won its previous seven T20I series dating back to November 2017, and its last defeat in the format was against West Indies in July last year. Not to mention, on their last visit here, the Men in Blue won the T20I series 3-0. So, they will be riding high on a wave of confidence and eager to make an early mark on this trip.
