On Thursday, former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh caught up with Rishabh Pant who is recuperating from a horrific car crash that transpired in December 2022. The former left-hander took to his Instagram handle and wrote, “On to baby steps !!! This champion is going to rise again. Was good catching up and having a laugh. What a guy positive and funny always !! More power to you @rishabpant.”

Earlier, Pant came up with an Instagram post where he was spotted walking in a swimming pool with help of a crutch. “Grateful for small things, big things, And everything in between,” the 25-year-old player wrote in the caption.

Rishabh Pant was going to his hometown in Uttarakhand from Delhi when his car crashed on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on December 30, last year. Initially, he was taken to a nearby hospital in Dehradun before being airlifted to Mumbai.

Previously, while talking to IANS, he said, “Especially after my accident, I’ve found happiness in even being able to brush my teeth every day as well as something like sitting under the sun. While trying to achieve our goals, it seems like we’ve taken the regular things in life for granted. My biggest realisation and message would be that feeling blessed every day is also a blessing, and that’s the mindset I’ve adopted since my setback and being able to enjoy every moment which comes my way is a takeaway I have for myself”.

Because of the accident, Pant will miss the IPL 2023, and as a result, Australia's explosive opener David Warner was named the skipper of the franchise. Delhi Capitals (DC) will start off their campaign against  Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 1.
