New Delhi: Cricket Australia and Australian Cricket Association have finally reached an agreement on Thursday morning to finally end the pay dispute, paving the way for the nation's professional players to be re-contracted.

The in-principle agreement was signed after a final round of face-to-face negotiations between Cricket Australia Chief Executive James Sutherland and his Australian Cricket Association counterpart Alistair Nicholson in Melbourne this morning.

Details of the deal and the new five-year MoU that it underpins are expected be revealed at a formal media announcement, to be held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday afternoon. The whole dispute had left the Australian cricketers unemployed for over a month as the MoU between CA and ACA couldn’t be made until its deadline on June 30.

The news comes in as a green light to Australia’s Two Test tour to Bangladesh, with the team scheduled to fly to Bangladesh on August 18.
