Siddharth Kaul was included in India’s squad for the final T20I against West Indies at Chennai on November 11 as the selectors decided to rest regular fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav along with chinaman Kuldeep Yadav.

"The Indian team management has decided to rest Umesh Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav from the upcoming third Paytm T20I against the Windies in Chennai," BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary said in a release.

"The decision has been made to allow the trio to be in the best physical condition ahead of India's tour to Australia.

With the series already in grasp, India would look to test their bench strength in the inconsequential final T20I. Kaul, who made his T20 debut at Dublin against Ireland earlier this year, is certain to play in place of Bumrah, who is one of the mainstays of the Indian attack.

As far as the spin department is concerned, there is no dearth of options even there with the likes of Yuzvendra Chahal, who did not even get a game in the series, waiting in the wings along with talented Tamil Nadu off-spinner Washington Sundar. In the two games, left-arm spinner Kuldeep picked up five wickets, including 3 for 13 at Kolkata.

The Indian team members are likely to arrive in the city on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the West Indies players will have a training session under lights later in the evening.

India begins its tour of Australia with the opening T20I at Brisbane on November 21.
