BCCI on Monday declared that senior pacer Jasprit Bumrah who was out due to injury since September 2022, will be making his comeback in the upcoming Ireland series in August and will also lead the team. The three-match T20I series will be taking place from 18 to 23 August in Ireland. Ever since Bumrah got injured, he missed out on playing in the 2022 T20 World Cup and now since he is fit, all eyes will be on him since the ODI World Cup is set to be played in India from October 5.

 

Earlier, Jay Shah clearly stated that the fast bowler is fit and is ready to take part in the  T20I series in Ireland in August. Bumrah has gone through extensive rehabilitation at the NCA after his surgery. As per the reports, Bumrah featured in a practice match on Friday at the  Alur cricket ground in Bengaluru. A Times of India report stated that Bumrah bowled 10 overs in the game.





 




 

The three-match series will start on August 18 at the Malahide Cricket Club in Dublin. The venue will also host the rest of the matches of the series that ends on August 23.
